Project Description
Cast in stone, built to last.
Long before Budweiser became a household name, Adolphus Busch was building an empire — and he built it to be seen. This ornate relief, emblazoned with the Anheuser-Busch eagle and the Busch name, is set into the facade of the historic Anheuser-Busch building in Peoria, Illinois. A reminder that in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, breweries didn’t just make beer — they made architecture.
The craftsmanship here is deliberate. The spread eagle, the decorative stonework, the confident lettering — this wasn’t signage, it was a statement. A brand identity carved directly into the building itself, decades before anyone used the word “branding.”
Some logos never need updating. They just need the right light.
